Aaliyah Ellis is an environmental educator, program designer, and conservation genetics researcher focused on experiential learning, workforce development, and expanding access to environmental and STEM careers for underrepresented communities. Originally from South Carolina, she brings a strong commitment to education, equity, and community-based learning to her work.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Tuskegee University and has experience across environmental education, conservation genetics, and place-based learning in K–12, higher education, and community settings. Her work includes curriculum and program development, outdoor education, conservation research on freshwater organisms, and youth workforce initiatives that prioritize accessibility, representation, and real-world application.
Outside of work, Aaliyah enjoys spending time with her husband and dogs, reading, and thrifting.
