Ali Schachtschneider (she/her)

Translation Consortium Director | Textile Innovation Engine of NC

Ali brings over twelve years of experience commercializing textile innovations and building partnerships with brands and supply chain partners across the United States, Europe, and Asia. Her passion for advancing a more sustainable and circular textile industry led her to transition from a background in fashion design to materials innovation, where she has worked closely with scientists and brands to bring innovations from R&D into commercial products.

As Translation Consortium Director, Ali leads the Textile Innovation Engine’s consortium efforts to bring together brands, supply chain partners, and industry organizations to address shared challenges and advance textile innovation.

Ali is an alumna of Parsons School of Design at The New School in New York City, where she is currently based. A former professional ballet dancer, she enjoys staying active, traveling, and spending time with her dog.
