Andrew Owenby

Superintendent of Facilities | The Industrial Commons

Andrew joins the Land for the Commons team as Superintendent of Facilities, where he assists the team in maintenance and development for the Hopewell facility, the new Innovation Campus, and the Dixon Street housing project in Morganton.

A native of McDowell County, Andrew earned a B.S. in University Studies from East Carolina University with a focus on Wellness Advocacy and the Nonprofit sector. His passion for construction and community service began early, working with his church’s Building and Grounds and Missions teams to build homes and perform repairs both locally and internationally.

After graduation, Andrew returned to western North Carolina to be closer to family and founded his own residential construction company. As a licensed general contractor, he specializes in custom home building, renovations, and remodeling, with a strong commitment to making quality housing accessible to working families.

In his free time, Andrew enjoys exploring the outdoors, reading, and playing basketball with friends. He and his wife recently welcomed their first child in October 2024 and are embracing the joys of new parenthood.
