Bob Carswell serves as the Senior Director of Production, Research and Development for Material Return. Born and raised in Morganton, NC, he is driven to see his home community thrive for generations to come by rooting wealth locally and growing cooperatives in North Carolina’s circular textile industry. Previously, Bob worked for E.J. Victor, a furniture manufacturer, for 14 years as a computer-aided design (CAD) pattern maker and a computer numerical control (CNC) cutter. With an education and teaching adjunct career in electrical and computer engineering, he strives to innovate within the industry that has sustained his region for generations.
