Erin Kizer
Chief Operations Officer |The Industrial Commons
Erin serves as the Chief Operations Officer at TIC, overseeing the growth and development of an expanding team as well as the physical infrastructure of our organization. Before stepping into this role, she managed the Land for the Commons program, which includes the development of a 30-acre brownfield site, to become The Innovation Campus, a 10 acres housing parcel under development, and acquisition and renovation of our facilities at Hopewell Road. Through these projects and others, her team explores how community owned real estate models can be used to ensure the creation of locally rooted wealth. Erin also served as interim General Manager of Material Return for 2 years as the enterprise expanded its production capabilities. After graduating from Cornell University, Erin taught in Philadelphia public schools as a part of Teach for America, and later did a volunteer year with AmeriCorps VISTA, before pursuing a master’s degree in Urban Planning and Environmental Policy at Tufts University.
