Raised in Caldwell County, Laura completed her undergraduate degree at Appalachian State, and her MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, & a Post Masters Certificate in Advanced School Counseling. She has thirty years of experience in public education as a counselor and career development coordinator. She is also an adjunct instructor at Lenoir Rhyne in the Clinical Mental Health program. Laura lives in Hickory, NC, with her amazing & talented husband, Sean, her daughter (Katie Jo), two dogs and two cats. In her free time she likes to workout, crochet, and read.
