Lisa Miller

Lisa Miller is deeply committed to strengthening Western North Carolina and believes lasting progress is built through collaborative, community-rooted work. She currently serves as Director of Strategic Initiatives and Assessment at Mitchell Community College in Statesville, where she brings more than 15 years of experience in higher education. Her work has focused on grant development and management, institutional advancement, strategic planning, and building systems that support student and community success.

Before transitioning into higher education, Lisa spent more than a decade in nonprofit leadership, developing a strong foundation in fundraising, operations, and mission-driven work. Across every role, she has remained grounded in the belief that strong institutions and strong communities grow together.

Lisa is energized by the opportunity to support TIC’s work and contribute to a thriving regional ecosystem. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys exploring local food and art scenes, hiking area trails with her dogs, and spending meaningful time with her family.
